JoJo Siwa first came out as a member of the LGBTQ community in a TikTok video in January 2021, and she's been sharing candid stories with her fans ever since. The Dance Moms alum, 19, marked two years of embracing her true self by sharing an important throwback photo Saturday with her 11.4 million Instagram followers, featuring a picture of herself wearing a shirt that reads "best gay cousin ever."
Siwa is best known for her colorful style and cheery demeanor, and she's made a name for herself as a YouTube star and social media influencer. She's also a singer and author, selling out international arenas for her live shows, and a burgeoning business mogul, with a line of everything from dolls to clothes to makeup to snacks sold at Target, Walmart and JCPenney emblazoned with her smiley face.
But she's a lot more than just a pretty face: Siwa has been active in the fight for LGBTQ rights and is an openly gay woman who identifies as pansexual, which means she's attracted to women and men. During a recent interview with People that doubled as a sponcon for Disney World's new Tron Lightcycle / Run ride, Siwa revealed that some of her sweetest memories are tied to the Orlando, Florida theme park.
It's unclear whether she was referring to her relationship with her first girlfriend, Kylie Prew, or her current girlfriend, Avery Cyrus. But it's clear that Siwa is a big fan of the House of Mouse, as she's a frequent visitor and often accompanies her friends on trips to the parks.
