Uncharted 2: Why Is Nathan So Gay?

If you're an Uncharted fan, then you probably know that Nathan Drake is a gay man. While this may sound like a silly stereotype, it fits the character perfectly. The fact that Nathan can't forge a romantic relationship with a woman and acts like a bitch most of the time can be explained by his sexual frustration. It would also explain why he travels the world and puts himself in mortal danger for treasure.

The actor behind the role, Nathan Lane, recently opened up about his own journey to acceptance. During an interview with Oprah Winfrey, Lane was asked about his homosexuality. "I was not ready to talk about it at that point, but I knew the questions were coming," he told Winfrey.

Lane went on to say that he felt "a little typecast" for his role in the film. While he had been openly gay to his friends and family, he hadn't publicly spoken about it. He said that his experience on the show made him want to come out.

Despite the fact that Nathan is gay, the other heroes in the Uncharted series don't seem to mind. Kotetsu in particular seems to accept him for who he is and treats him like a friend and rival. This is one of the reasons why we love the series so much. However, some PS3 gamers who genuinely hate gay people could be mentally torn to shreds by the idea that their favorite hero is a fag.
