Is Lil Uzi Vert Gay?

Rapper Lil Uzi Vert is the latest hip-hop artist to find themselves the subject of gay rumors. The Philadelphia-born, internationally renowned rapper, whose real name is Symere Bysil Woods, has already addressed the ongoing speculation on their latest album, Pink Tape. The rapper firmly states that they are not homosexual and that they have always been heterosexual.

It is evident that the ongoing rumors have really bothered the rapper as they made a point of addressing their sexuality on the album. The opening lines of the intro track "Flooded the Face" feature Uzi confidently stating that they are not gay and that they have never been homosexual. The rapper continues to affirm their heterosexuality throughout the album, claiming that they have an active sex life. They also rap about dating multiple women and even brag that they have slept with a woman who resembles Ice Spice.

In addition, on several of the tracks on the album, the rapper mentions their girlfriend, JT, a member of the hip-hop duo City Girls. Despite the fact that they have been involved in some controversial public incidents, such as JT throwing a phone at Uzi during a viral fight at the 2023 BET Awards, the pair are still very much together and have supported each other through the rough times.

Last year, the rapper made a bold move when they changed their Instagram bio pronouns to “they/them,” which is often used by non-binary, genderfluid, and genderqueer people. They have since been supported by the LGBTQ community, who have lauded them for their courage and decision.
