How Tall is Don Gay Bull Rider?

How tall is Don Gay Bull Rider?

Don Gay is an American bull riding legend and a member of the ProRodeo Hall of Fame. Throughout his career, Gay was known for his mental toughness and his ability to handle the sport’s most dangerous bulls. He was also a pioneer for the sport, helping to make it more mainstream in popular culture and inspiring new generations of athletes to pursue their dreams.

Gay grew up in Mesquite, Texas and began competing in rodeos as a child. He learned from rodeo icons such as Larry Mahan and Shawn Davis, and he became a top competitor in his own right. Despite his short stature, Gay was able to overcome the odds and achieve greatness in the rodeo arena.

He won a record eight PRCA bull riding championships from 1974 to 1984, breaking the previous world champion record of seven set by his idol Jim Shoulders. He was a twelve-time NFR qualifier and set several PRCA records during his reign, including a 97-point ride on a bull named Oscar at the National Finals Rodeo in 1977.

After retiring from competition, Gay continued to work in the rodeo industry. He is the general manager of the Frontier Rodeo Company, which provides livestock for professional rodeos and bull riding events across the United States. He also does live announcing and commentary for televised bull riding events. Gay has been married twice and has two children.
