How Much Do Beyonce Dancers Make?

Beyonce’s Renaissance Tour is one of the top-grossing concert tours in history, and it wouldn’t be possible without the singer’s talented backup dancers. While it’s not publicly known how much these professionals make, it’s safe to say they are well-compensated for their hard work.

However, it appears that not everyone is on the same page when it comes to how much they should be paid for their services. In a now-deleted post, The Dancers Alliance—which claims to negotiate equitable rates for non-union dancers in the industry—hit out at Beyonce and her crew for only paying their dancers $250 per day during video shoots.

JaQuel Knight, Beyonce’s choreographer, pushed back against the allegations in several Instagram stories. He says that the dancers he works with are not “extras,” but professional dancers who have rehearsed and are shooting for music videos. He also requests receipts from the Dancers Alliance and asks them to compare those rates to his company’s normal rates.

While it’s not clear how much Beyonce pays her backup dancers on her concerts and music videos, it’s likely higher than the reported $250 per day. The singer’s Coachella performance brought in millions of dollars, and that’s more than enough to pay her dancers a livable wage.

Fans of Beyonce have taken to Twitter to blast The Dancers Alliance for their 100% fabricated accusations, with many calling out the organization for trying to diminish Queen Bey’s clout by degrading her dancers. It’s just another example of how the Beyhive will rise to defend their queen whenever anyone tries to take her down.
