The workout machine that's turning heads
Peloton is the company behind the hi-tech bikes that beam live and on-demand classes to 5.4 million subscribers. The app-based company is essentially an online fitness studio that allows users to work out from the comfort of their own homes. And while some of the classes can be challenging, there are also plenty that are just fun — not to mention incredibly effective.
Instructors like Cody Rigsby make a good living thanks to the success of the company, but what about their personal lives? The answer to that question might surprise you.
Many of the instructors are gay, including Jess King, who loves to use her class as an opportunity for some theatrical fun, blasting Rage Against the Machine or rocking a high pony. Her feisty personality and inspirational bons mots are enough to inspire millions of users to tune in to her classes.
Another out and proud Peloton instructor is Emma Lovewell, who is engaged to her longtime partner Andrew Haynes. Her positive attitude is a major reason why her class are so popular, and it's not uncommon to see her students posting selfies from the bike after their sessions.
There are also several other gay Peloton instructors, including Matt Wilpers, who is married to his fiancee Jessica Li and often celebrates his British heritage in his classes by playing music from the UK. But the company isn't revealing much about the personal lives of its instructors, perhaps because it doesn't want to detract from the quality of the workouts.
